New to Process Work? Here's Where to Start

If you are new to Process Work and aren't sure where to begin you've come to the right place! Here is a simple breakdown of how some people have found it most comfortable getting started learning and participating in Process Work. If you run into questions or would like help along the way, don't hesitate to give us a call at 503-223-8188 or e-mail us at pwi@processwork.org.

Step One - Get a feel for Process Work
Discover the work of Arny and Amy Mindell. Listen to free audio lectures, read Process Work related papers or books. PWI hosts research symposia that are free to the community and can be a good precursor to your first class. For those wanting to explore Process Work more personally you can to set up a session with a Process Work therapist or student intern.

Step Two - Step into it
Check out our Course Brochure or the classes section on our webpage. Different teachers offer courses on specific topics, and each year we offer multiple classes that can be taken from a distance. You can also enjoy Process Work seminars and events at the Oregon Coast.

If you are ready to jump in feet first, the Winter Intensive, held annually in January-February for over 25 years is a great way to get a feel for the various aspects of Process Work in an international community. The Winter Intensive also covers many of the requirements to obtain the Certificate in Process Work. Or, if there is a Summer Institute being held, consider signing up for a 3-4 day course on an exciting new application of Process Work, for instace, End of Life Care, Conflict Facilitation, or Process-oriented Movement Work. Or, consider enrolling in a 5 day Introductory Week in Process Work.

Step Three - Experience Process Work at a High Level
We offer a Certificate in Process Work as well as two Masters programs: the Master of Arts in Conflict Facilitation and Organization Change and the Master of Arts in Process Work for those who want to make Process Work and its applications a significant part their personal and professional life.

If these in-depth programs feel like they are experiences you are looking for now and you would like to speak to with someone about which one of these programs may be the best for you, let us know, and we will connect you with the right person. Contact us at pwi@processwork.org or 503-223-8188.
